Families living in 'rough' dwellings triple in 10 years

(ANSA) - Rome, April 27 - The number of families living in
"rough" dwellings has more than tripled in 10 years, Istat said
Friday.The number of families living in huts, camper vans, tents and other makeshift dwellings rose from 23,336 in 2001 to 71,101 in the census taken last year, the statistics agency said.
It was a "dizzy" rise, Istat said.
