(ANSAmed) - JERUSALEM, DECEMBER 24 - While Christian
communities in the Middle East are shrinking, in Israel they are
''strong, growing, and wholly integrated into the life of the
country,'' Israeli Premier Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday in a
Christmas message.
Referring to recent incidents of vandalism against Christian institutions, Netanyahu reaffirmed that Israel is committed to guaranteeing pluralism and freedom of religion, and to protecting Christian places of worship.
The premier concluded by inviting Christians to come visit their sacred places in the Holy Land. (ANSAmed).
