Libia: 'Cassandras' were wrong, Italian minister Terzi

10 July, 10:09

(ANSAmed) - Rome, July 10 - Foreign Affairs Minister Giulio Terzi praised elections in Libya as "transparent." The "Cassandras" who worried about the outcome of the election held last weekend have been proven wrong, he added.

Calling the African nation a "great new partner," the minister said the elections were "transparent and regular." A European Union evaluation team on Monday said that Libya's first free elections in over 40 years were pluralistic, peaceful, and efficient. (ANSAmed).
