Egypt: Protestors killed, 5 policemen sentenced to 10 years

In 28/1/11 protest, 17 others injured

(ANSAmed) - CAIRO, MAY 22 - A Cairo Court of appeals has sentenced five police officers for killing demonstrators during the January 2011 revolution to ten years' imprisonment.

Judiciary sources reported the news, saying that two other defendants had been handed down a one-year suspended sentence and ten had instead been acquitted. Those sentenced were found guilty of killing five protestors and injuring 17 others during protests on January 28 2011. (ANSAmed).
