(ANSAmed) - ROME, MAY 31 - From June 6 to 11, ''Cerealia. The
Cereals Festival'' will be back in Rome, a cultural event
dedicated to the world of cereals which this year will focus on
the Mediterranean. The country will be twinned in this second
edition with Turkey, which will be taking over from Egypt.
Culture, environment, territory, society, economy, food, and
tourism are just some of the themes dealt with by the festival
through a wide variety of activities: round tables, meetings,
performances, food and wine tastings, guided tours, exhibitions
and didactic workshops.
The initiative - organised by M.Th.I., ArcheoClub d'Italia, Nur
Edizioni, and the Turkish embassy and Culture and Information
Office - will be held in several different locations in the
capital as well as throughout the Rome province and in the
Abruzzo, Puglia and Sardinia regions.
Opening the events on June 6 at 5:30 Pm will be a meeting
entitled ''A Walk through Time and in the Mediterranean..&the
Rites of Vesta'' at the Museo Nazionale Romano, in which Romolo
Augusto Staccioli and Alberto Angela will be takin part. For
