According to the Enpi website (www.enpi-info.eu), discussions are focusing on different issues, as ways to enhance the trade between Lebanon and the EU through trade development and further liberalisation in the trade of goods and services. Another theme of the meetings is the steps taken by Lebanon to advance its accession to the WTO, and of Lebanon's existing and planned regional trade agreements, and Lebanon's efforts to bring its regulatory environment closer to the EU, including in the areas of competition, consumer protection, and intellectual property rights, establishment and company laws and statistical analysis.
The dialogue concerns also policies related to media, including the Internet, but also in science, technology and research, education.
The meetings will be attended by representatives from the relevant Lebanese ministries, officials from EU headquarters in Brussels and representatives from the Embassies of EU Member States accredited to Lebanon. (ANSAmed)
