(ANSAmed) - BRUSSELS, APRIL 25 - The EU-funded Euromed
Audiovisual project is a partner of the fourth edition of
FIDADOC, the first Moroccan festival and meeting platform
exclusively dedicated to documentary filmmaking, in Agadir until
the 28. According to the Enpi website (www.enpi-info.eu), twelve
professionals have been invited to attend the event and present
their projects to commissioning editors and decision makers.
They will also be able to network, discuss their projects with commissioning editors, and meet other professionals, including Reda Benjelloun, commission editor of the new documentaries slot for Morocco's first private television channel 2M. Seven of them have participated either in DOCmed or Greenhouse, two EU-funded training initiatives under the Euromed Audiovisual programme.
The FIDADOC programme this year also includes the screening of 12 eclectic titles, some of them examples of successful co-production between Mediterranean territories, as 'Tahrir: Liberation Square' of Stefano Savona (Italy, France, Egypt); 'The Virgin, the Copts and Me' of Namir Abdel Messeeh (Egypt, France, Qatar); 'Le The' ou l'Electricite' ' of Jerome le Maire (Belgium, Morocco, France).
The EU funded Euromed Audiovisual III programme aims to contribute to the development and strengthening of the capacity of the film sector in the ENPI South region (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Occupied Palestinian Territory, Syria, Tunisia) and to contribute significantly to mutual understanding, intercultural dialogue and cultural diversity.
