Titled 'Sardinia, the Southern Island: New Routes of Peace and Development in the Mediterranean', the forum is organized by the 'Rondine Cittadella della pace association', the provincial government of Sassari, and the north Sardinia chamber of commerce. The forum is aimed at forging a new leadership in Maghreb countries by bringing youths from conflict-torn regions together.
The protagonists are students completing a six-month programme along with the international scholars at the Rondine peace citadel, a Medieval village near Arezzo in which up to 30 university students from different walks of life and cultures live and study together. The citadel was founded in 1997.
Once they have completed their programme in Tuscany, students return to their home countries , ready to apply for a prominent job . (ANSAmed).
