The infoday in Campobasso was a special satisfaction for the president of the Molise region, Michele Iorio, and the Planning councilor Gianfranco Vitagliano, who had strongly wanted the infoday to be held. The Molise region is very focused on these issues, and holds the role of president of the Adriatic Euro-region and that of president of the National Committee for the Implementation of the IPA Adriatic programme. IPA has an overall 280 million euros at its disposal and aims to harmonise the cross-border Adriatic area in the name of institutional, economic, cultural, tourism, environmental and infrastructural cooperation. It involved eight states: Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania,Serbia, Greece and for Italy, in addition to the head region Abruzzo also Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto, Emilia Romagna, Marche, Puglia and Molise.The overall financing for the second call is 82 million euros evenly distributed in the three strategic axes. The first call had financing of 75 million euros, also equally distributed along the three strategic axes, which were awarded to 32 projects among the 133 admitted to the competition. (ANSAmed).
