(ANSAmed) - CAIRO, AUGUST 8 - Chairman of Egyptian
Mobilization and Statistical Institute, Abu Baqir al-Cuneydi,
has said that there were several bright investment opportunities
in trade between Turkey and Egypt. Speaking to Anatolia news
agency on Wednesday, al-Cuneydi said that Egypt's imports from
Turkey reached 365 million USD in May, adding that Turkey's
imports from Egypt was 105 million USD at the same period.
Stating that Egypt was an attractive market in terms of food industry, "Turkey's considerable developments in food, textile and clothing sectors clear the way for Turkey to have huge trade market in Egypt. Egypt demands to take advantage of Turkey for redevelopment of these sectors. Despite having around 260 million USD foreign trade deficit with Turkey, there are several bright investment opportunities in trade between both countries," said al-Cuneydi. (ANSAmed).
