(ANSAmed) - ANKARA, MAY 22 - The unregistered economy rate of Turkey dropped to 27.7%, Anatolia news agency reported today quoting Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek as saying.

Holding a press conference on Tuesday, Simsek said that Turkish government targeted to decrease the rate of unregistered economy five points within the next ten years. The rate of Turkey's unregistered economy had been 32.4% in 2002, said Simsek. The government will pursue an effective struggle against unregistered economy, said Simsek, adding that fight against unregistered economy was as important as fight against terrorism. (ANSAmed).
