(ANSAmed) - TUNIS, APRIL 30 - Tunisiana may present it's
fresh offer to obtain a public management licence for
third-generation mobile telecoms following the rejection of a
previous bid by the Ministry on grounds of insufficiency.
During a public session at the Technology Ministry on May 3, the envelope containing the new offer will be opened, upon which a definitive decision is to be based. If this second offer is also rejected, Tunisiana will not have the opportunity to formulate a fresh one. This can only be done if the Ministry finds itself unable to award the licence and opens a fresh tender process. Rejected on April 20, the first offer comprised approximately 161 million dinar (just over 80 million euros), 36 million of which were for the fixed line part and the remainder for the mobile service (ANSAmed).
