(ANSAmed) - BEIRUT, MAY 25 - At least 19 people were killed
today in the ongoing repression in Syria, according to the local
committees for the coordination if the opposition, who have also
given news of a number of protests against the regime in various
cities and suburbs of Damascus.
In many cases, the Committees report, the forces loyal to the regime have intervened to disperse the demonstrators, using tear gas or opening fire. Five demonstrators, according to the same source, were killed in the same way in Bustan al Qasr and Salaheddin, suburbs of Aleppo. (ANSAmed).
