(ANSAMed) - MADRID, JULY 12 - Approximately 200 court employees protested today at the ruling People's Party (PP) headquarters, on the eve of the Cabinet meeting that is to approve President Mariano Rajoy's proposed 65 billion euro spending cuts over the next two years.

Wearing t-shirts that said No Justice, No Rights, employees of Madrid's Audiencia Nacional, of the Supreme Court and of the National Magistrates Council were joined by members of the Guardia Civil, who wore t-shirts saying Hands Up, This Is A Robbery. They were protesting the government austerity plan that will cut their leave time and their year-end wages, union sources said.

Earlier today, hundreds of employees from the Agriculture, Environment, and Labor ministries blocked the capital's main throughfare, chanting for Rajoy to step down. There were moments of tension as the Guardia Civil tried to disperse the demonstrators.

Protests against the cuts continued in front of all the main public offices, with concentrations at noon and at 6pm, union sources said. (ANSAMed).
