(ANSAmed) - ROME, MAY 18 - Fitch has cut Greece's rating from
"B-" to "CCC", one rung above "D", which indicates default, the
rating's agency has said. "The downgrade reflects the
exacerbated risk that Greece could no longer be able to sustain
its presence in the economic and monetary union," the agency
said.
Meanwhile, another international agency, Moody's, has cut the
rating for four Spanish regions: Catalunya, Murcia, Andalusia
and Extremadura.
A statement said that the decision is linked to the "weak
financial performance in 2011".(ANSAmed).
