(ANSAmed) - BELGRADE, AUGUST 3 - The 7th edition of the
International Youth Media Summit (IYMS), held under the slogan
'Seven Voices in Time', kicked off in Belgrade Thursday.
The summit runs until August 10, hosting youth representatives from 27 countries to discuss seven topics: discrimination, environment, health, poverty, violence, women's rights and youth.
At the same time, Belgrade's Media Education Centre will present a number of parallel projects supported by the IYMS.
These include 'ABC Art of the Book', an EC Culture 2007-2013 project, carried out jointly by young people from Bulgaria, Austria, Poland and Serbia under the guidance of Tzvetana Platikanova from Bulgaria, the center has said in a release.
'Media Pedagogy', a German-France-Serbia project, is led by Malte Heidemann, Germany, while Ms. Evelyn Seubert, President of the IYMS, the United States, coordinates the entire event.
