(ANSAmed) - PRISTINA, MAY 22 - The remains of twelve persons
thought to have gone missing during the armed conflict in Kosovo
between regular Serbian troops and Kosovar separatists at the
end of the 1990s have been identified and returned to the
families.
As the EULEX mission announced in Pristina today, the remains
of ten of the twelve victims were found in comunal graves on
Serb territory.
Approximately 1,800 people still count as missing following
the war in Kosovo. Between 1998 and 1999 at least 13,000 people
lost their lives, most of them Kosovar Albanians.
So far the remains of 308 people have been identified and
returned to their families, Eulex adds.(ANSAmed)
