(ANSAmed) - TUNIS, MAY 4 - The Tunisian state has sold 40
hectares of public land in Tozeur to Qatari Diar (Qatar's
operational arm in the sector of major property investments), as
part of an ambitious tourism project.
According to the specialist website African Manager, the sale price is 150,000 dinars (around 70,000 euros) per hectare.
The agreement was signed on Tunisia's behalf by the Property Minister, Salim Ben Hamidane. African Manager says that the payment will be made in installments. Tozeur is considered " gateway to the Tunisian desert" and welcomes thousands of tourists, especially foreigners, every year. (ANSAmed).
