(ANSAMed) - BEIRUT, JULY 2 - Syrian security forces crossed the
border into Lebanon and picked up a couple of Lebanese agents
for questioning after two Syrian police officers were wounded by
a rocket fired from Lebanon today, Lebanese agency NNA reports.
The Syrian agents were wounded near the Al Hejra border crossing, the news agency said. Syrian security forces looking for the authors of the attack crossed the border, reached the Bakeyaa police station, arrested two Lebanese agents and took them back into Syria for questioning. They were released after an hour.
The Lebanese police has informed the Internal Ministry of the incident and has opened an investigation into the matter, according to NNA. (ANSAMed).
