(ANSAmed) - NAPLES, JUNE 15 - Thiago Silva is the pride of
the Milan market. The Brazilian defensive player will be staying
on the team despite the 40-million-euro offer made by Paris
Saint Germain. The club owned by Qatar's Sheikh Al-Thani had
almost managed to grab Thiago Silva away from Milan, but in the
end the latter succeeded in keeping that offer at bay. Leaving
Milan, on the other hand, could be Robinho: the Brazilian
striker is a favourite of Manuel Pellegrini, the coach of the
Malaga team (of the other Al-Thani Sheikh, cousin of the PSG
owner). Rino Gattuso has instead already left Milan, having
signed on with the Swiss team Sion.
As concerns Italy, Juventus is allegedly also making a move,
having been convinced by the good performance at the European
Championships to give a chance to Sebastian Giovinco - who from
co-ownership with Parma is to go back to being entirely
Juventus's for about 10 million euros. Another star player in
high demand on the market is the Montenegro Jovetic from the
Fiorentina team. For him Chelsea has reportedly offered 25
million, but the Tuscan team refused offered. The Londoners are
seeking out reinforcements after having fixed the bench problem:
the Italian Roberto Di Matteo (who took the team under his
training in March and brought it to win the England Cup as well
as that of the Champions League) has signed a contract to coach
Abramovich's team for the next two seasons.
The Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko may instead be leaving England,
as he is thought not to be included in coach Mancini's plans for
Manchester City for next year. Bayern Monaco is instead making a
move for Dzeco, after the team saw a second season in a row
without a single title to show for it. Champions League hero
Didier Drogba has already left London and is said to be moving
in the direction of a transfer to China and the Shanghai team,
where his former Chelsea teammate Nicolas Anelka is already.
Also leaving London is Harry Redknapp, who left the Tottenham
bench after leading the team to fourth place. (ANSAmed).
