(ANSAmed) - ANKARA, NOVEMBER 20 - Ro-ro trips from southern
Turkish port of Iskenderun to the Israeli city of Haifa began on
Tuesday. Speaking at a ceremony to mark the beginning of the
service, Deputy Governor of Hatay province, Orhan Mardinli
stated that the Cilvegozu Border Gate was shut down due to the
developments in Syria. "Truck drivers experienced great
difficulty after the Cilvegozu Border Gate was closed. Ro-ro
trips between Iskenderun and Haifa began in order to alleviate
the difficulties of Turkish truck drivers," Mardinli also said.
The southern province of Hatay ranks second in Turkey after
Istanbul with the most number of trucks as Anatolia news agency
