(ANSAmed) - BRUSSELS, JUNE 28 - The EU summit, thought to be
of ''crucial importance'' on a strategy aimed at leaving the
current crisis behind, has started.
The EU leaders are focusing on the growth and labour pact.
This evening, the discussion will regard the proposal on strengthening the monetary and economic union. At the summit, Greece is represented by its president Papoulias, who replaces the convalescent premier. Before the start of the summit the Greek president, 83 years old, was given a warm welcome by the EU leaders. (ANSAmed).
