12 June, 16:01

(ANSAmed) - TUNIS, JUNE 12 - The city Tlemcen is paying homage to ''The Golden Age in Sciences in Islamic Countries'', a large exhibition held in the city's centre for Andalusian studies. APS notes that the exhibition, organised by the Culture Ministry, is divided into three large sections. The first is dedicated to the scientific manuscripts of the Maghreb. In particular, it highlights many works by North African scholars in several different sectors, such as geography, architecture and - more in general - the scientific heritage of the region's Muslims. The second section, ''The Golden Age in Arab Sciences'', produced by Paris's Institute of the Arab World, notes the different scientific disciplines and the contribution by Arab scholars in the fields of mathematics, chemistry and astrology. The last section is dedicated to the ''Traces of the Andalusians'', as the refugees from Spain are called who over the past centuries were welcomed into Algeria with a sense of solidarity.
