(ANSAmed) - CANNES, MAY 17 - Fatih Akin, the German director of the Turkish Wife, Crossing the Bridge and Soul Kitchen, is in Cannes with a documentary that went back to beloved Turkey.

With the title Polluting Paradise, it is a long investigation into refuse, the eco-destruction of a small village in the north east, Camburnu, green with tea plantations and inhabited by farmers who are not giving in to pollution, to the contamination of their waterways or the environmental disaster and who stage a protest with great civic courage that will take them far. A cinema full of journalists was able to confirm that Akin also makes good realistic reportage, but that his passion for music is stronger than any other and the soundtrack makes you want to dance, even amidst the trash.
