28 June, 15:55

(ANSAmed) - BRUSSELS, 28 JUNE - "If the result is more growth, mid-term measures" for the stability of the Euro "and immediate measures aimed at supporting those countries which have made efforts and cannot bear extremely high interest rates, this will mean that we did a good job". These were the words of French President Francois Hollande as soon as he arrived to the EU summit. The package of measures for growth drafted by the European institutions and by the ECB will be "the focus of talks of the European Council", the German Chancellor Angela Merkel stated before the preliminary EPP summit in Brussels. The Chancellor did not wish to declare anything else.(ANSAmed).
