(ANSAmed) - STIGNANO (REGGIO CALABRIA), MAY 30 - Thirty
migrants, 29 Egyptians and 1 Palestinian, landed on the
Calabrian coast in Stignano (Reggio Calabria) over the night.
The clandestine migrants were spotted by Carabinieri while walking along state highway 106. Coast Guard searches off the shore resulted in the finding of a 16-metre boat which had been used for the landing and subsequently left to drift. The number of migrants - who are currently housed in a centre run by the Locri diocese - may rise.(ANSAmed).
