(ANSAmed) - TUNIS, MAY 30 - As part of initiatives to improve
its economic situation, Algeria has decided to create 42 new
generation industrial zones across the country over the near
future.
The decision was made by the Algerian National Investment
Council, which tasked the national Intermediation and Fund
Regulation Agency with the completion of all required procedures
(involving both the competent ministries and the provincial
governments where the new industrial zones will be built).
APS reports that the decision should be seen alongside the
measures adopted in February by the Algerian Council of
Ministers aiming to relaunch investment, in part through making
long-term credit available. The new industrial zones will be
built over a surface area of approximately 10,000 hectares.
