(ANSAmed) - TUNIS, APRIL 27 - She was born in 1897 and since she had the age to do it she has never missed any chance to vote in the elections, be it of any kind. Hadja Samed Bakhta, 115 years of age, has decided that she will also participate in the May 10 elections for which she has already registered. On May 10th, she says, she will be queuing up just the same as many others in front of her polling station, for what she regards as a citizen's right but also a duty, she told a group of young people during a brief ceremony in her honour in the headquarters of her province of Sidi Bel-Abbès.

With three children and 48 grand-children, Hadja Bakhta explained her longevity to be fruit of a country life, well away from the problems of the city. (ANSAmed).
