The meeting will be chaired by the Ukraine's Foreign minister, Kostyantyn Gryshchenko, as Ukraine holds the rotating presidency of Cei this year. Also present at the event will be representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, representatives of the European Commission and of the Adriatic Ionic Initiative. The meeting has been organised by the Ukraine's Foreign Ministry and by the Cei Secretariat, which is based in Trieste, in collaboration with Italian authorities.
At the centre of the agenda will be an analysis of recent developments in the area, with an especial focus on the process of European integration: from the expected accession of Croatia into the EU to the conferring on Serbia of candidate nation status and to progress in membership talks with Montenegro and Macedonia, as well as developments in Albania and in Bosnia Herzegovina.(ANSAmed).
